Recently there was a question on hometalk.com asking what to do with Pringles cans. I answered with this project and when searching for a pic realized I had never posted our Pringles can solar cooker…along with a dozen other things I have a million pics of. So, this is really a dead-of-summer sort of thing, but I’m posting it before it gets lost in the bottomless pile of pics again.
Cut a large rectangle out of the side of a Pringles can.
We put our solar cookers out and the wind immediately kicked up. That’s why we used to rocks (turns out cylinders roll). The clouds moved in and ours were warm (it had been maybe 20 minutes) so we went ahead and ate them.
I think I planned to try again on a more ideal day and that’s why it never made it to the blog, but sometimes good enough is good enough. I’m learning to live with that.
